Valley Ranch Homeowners Association

Welcome to the best neighborhood in the Sierra Nevada mountains!!!

Plumas County is located in northeastern California, where the  Sierra Nevada and Cascade mountain ranges converge.  With a population of about 23,000, a land area of 2,554 square miles, it boasts more than 100 lakes, 1,000 miles of rivers and streams, and over a million acres of national forest.

With a population density of only eight people per square mile, the county makes do with three stop lights, two elevators, and two fast food restaurants.  We are fortunate to have some great restaurants in such a rural area.  Graeagle is a golfer's paradise.  The area sports approximately five very nice public golf courses in the immediate area.  The summer tourist population grows substantially.  For the active person there are hiking, fishing, snowmobiling, ATV'ing, four wheeling and wild life viewing.

People are friendly and neighborly - the way it was when we grew up.

Valley Ranch makes its home in eastern Plumas County near the tiny town of Clio (pop. 83).  From Truckee it takes about an hour to get here, following scenic Highway 89 north; if you're coming in from Reno, you'll also need an hour by taking Highway 395 North to Highway 70 where you'll turn west.  It is really the perfect place to call "Home".
